Hello researchers! 👋🏽 I was reading AI papers regularly to stay current with the latest research on LLM safety and capabilities while building khoj.dev, but I realized that existing tools weren't meeting my needs.
I wanted to actually read papers -- not just upload them into a black box for clarification, and risk wasted time building on hallucinations. Plus, I needed AI assistance that worked seamlessly as I wove between annotating and understanding the paper, minimizing context shifts.

@debanjum @nina_computer hey Nina! I'm assuming you're referring to the semantic reader, which is an awesome tool.
One way in which OP is already a bit different is that it offers broader knowledge base organization help, audio summaries, and in-reader chat assistance.
Beyond that, we're planning to add capabilities to do more general literature review.
Plus, we're open source :).

@debanjum @alex_cloudstar thanks Alex! the evidence-backed citations took a while to get quite right from the LLM responses, and surprisingly different models have different degrees of prompt adherence. Ex: Gemini is particularly good at following the inline-citation structure, but GPT is so-so.
