Tiptap is highly praised for its flexibility, seamless integration, and robust performance, making it a preferred choice for developers. It is used by Wordware for its ProseMirror editor, Flowbite for WYSIWYG text editing, and Atlas.co for collaborative features. Users appreciate its open-source nature, ease of customization, and comprehensive API, which facilitate the creation of powerful, custom editors akin to Notion or Google Docs.
Tiptap
Hi everyone 👋 Philip here from tiptap.dev! Today we’re releasing a React-based template in Tiptap Cloud that includes:
✦ Drag-and-drop blocks
✦ Real-time collaboration with presence
✦ AI-assisted writing (rewrite, autocomplete, generate)
✦ Version history
✦ Support for dark mode, and more
✦ Built-in UI component system
It’s a clean starting point for building structured, collaborative editors like internal docs, knowledge bases, and content tools.
No need to wire up multiplayer logic, syncing layers, or UI from scratch. You can extend it, customize the design, or strip it down to your needs.
If there are components or behaviors you find yourself rebuilding repeatedly, let us know.
Happy to answer anything in the comments!
Cheers ✌️

@philip_isik Tiptap just made building editors way less painful.

@tavishigupta Great to hear that you love Tiptap 😊
I love it, it's really great and developer friendly - would love to see some of the pro extensions as a part of the core - or opensourced even, or have a cheaper package ($10 a month for smaller startups). For example we use the v2 for our app and we don't have that many clients yet - would love to pay for some pro things but the current pricing at start seems a bit expensive
