Makers Support Makers is the first 'pledge support to access support' launch support database. By filling up the form (pledging) you get access to a private database populated by other makers who have pledged in the past. Pro-tip: Bookmark it.
Congrats on the launch! Would maybe add additional fields for:
- Product Hunt landing page
- Official product page/landing page
- Small description of what your company/product/idea/concept is or does.
Makes it easier to also connect with people for things outside of Product Hunt :).
@nicolaas_spijker Hi, Nico.
Brilliant suggestions.
I had considered this in the past, but then figured that the ultimate utility in this was the networking opportunity.
That's why I opted to include less fields so that there was less of a barrier to entry, and people could network in their own space by their own.
@abir_ershad Maybe just as optional/non-mandatory fields? I definitely find it easier to connect with people if I can get more information on their industry/what they're working on.
Even more so if revisiting and the list grows by a lot. In my case, it would allow me to learn more about a profile without having to manually check each LinkedIn or PH profile to see whether we share something in common that is worth reaching out for.
Love the concept of this list already though and not a huge issue if the count remains manageable. More of a thought for when this list grows into the 100's. 🚀
@nicolaas_spijker I understand where you're coming from, Nico.
I'll be sure to keep this in mind.
At the moment this is more of an MVP for a philosophy, if this kicks off - the possibilities are endless.

Guys, congratulations on the launch!
Tell me, what are your plans for the rest of the year? Is this a pet project, or do you want to invest in it?
@yankovichv I'm not sure yet, I made this tool & all launch material in a few hours with co-code and circulated it in PH & other product communities to see how people react.
Does that make it a pet project? Maybe. But it could be more.
In the past, I thought building a product meant solving a major problem.
Today, I think differently - and believe products are valuable even if they solve small things.
As a recent maker, I've encountered a problem - It's very hard to find willing people who would support your product (beta testing, closed feedback rooms, reviews, and launchpad releases)
Makers Support Makers solves exactly that. We want to build a trust-based community, starting with something as simple as a private database of emails where people can reach out to one another, knowing that the database is populated by makers who have themselves enlisted on it.
Pledge Support to Access Support is an ambitious idea.
The philosophy model doesn't work without the support of the people.
To the person reading this, I hope you're convinced by the idea enough to help make it a reality.
