Link Previews enables Google Docs users to convert URLs from multiple 3rd party tools (ex: HubSpot, Notion, Coda, Jira, GitHub, Figma etc.) into smart chips — that when hovered upon, displays relevant information without having to switch to that specific tool.
If you've got a free Gmail™ account and even remotely use Google Docs™, would love for you try out this add-on & share some feedback / report bugs 😈
Hey PHers 👋🏽
I've mostly been focusing on my personal life this year (for the most part) but given the latest updates on the Google Workspace Add-on ecosystem about being able to preview links with smart chips, couldn't resist the urge to build an entire integrator system that allows users to connect with every available tool out there (I know, that's a tall order) to get as much relevant information as possible, without having to context-switch between those tools ✨
Google Docs™ already provides with some very cool, in-built smart chips for —
- People (via Google Contacts™)
- Places (via Google Maps™)
- Event (via Google Calendar™)
- Files (via Google Drive™)
- YouTube™ videos
etc.
With this add-on, you can now extend this capability to practically any other 3rd party tool that you use in your every-day life.
