Hey product hunter! I made this website called 'LanguageWorldMap'. Here's why I did it: I recently travelled to Angola - a country in west Africa - and was intrigued to learn that the language most commonly spoken is Portuguese. The friend I've travelled with explained, that the languages of the world are still very much shaped by the history of colonialism. As such, I wanted to create a map that visualizes - as good as possible - all languages spoken. You can imagine this as a 'mini-wikipedia' for languages. This is helpful for: 1. People that are generally curious - especially about history (as languages are still very much shaped by past empires) 2. World travelers or digital nomads that need a quick handy guide to see which places they can easily travel next (without the use of translator) 3. People that learn new languages and want to see which languages are most useful to learn (or where the best places to learn languages are)
