InterviewKit is an all-in-one interview tool that lets you save up to 80% of time. By lowering the time to interview, this app is an effort to make people interview more often. So we create more customer-oriented products, and a slightly better world ❤️
Hello Product Hunters! 👋
This is the first product I ever launched, so I'm not sure what to expect but very excited!
🧩 The problem: what InterviewKit tries to solve
We all want to create better products, whether solo developers or full-on companies. Interviewing is a great way to deeply understand what your customers want – but in reality, they often get skipped, because they take so much time. Not the interview itself, but everything around it (recruitment, scheduling, transcribing, analysis, etc).
By automating and streamlining most overhead work, InterviewKit greatly reduces the time it takes to complete an interview. My hope is that this will lead to people and companies using interviews more often as a way to consistently talk to their users, leading to better, more human products – and a slightly better world. :)
📖 The story: how InterviewKit started
I co-founded an innovation agency called The Prototype Factory. We worked for over 100 start-ups, corporates and public organizations and did a LOT of user interviews. I was managing 300+ interviews a year, which began to take over most of my days.
We looked into hiring someone to manage everything, but since people are expensive, I wanted to see what I could build first. So we began automating little things, like scheduling interviews and sending emails, which already saved us hours of time each week. I started automating more, like transcribing interviews, until I decided that this was bigger than just an internal tool for our agency.
Six months ago, I started working on this full-time, turning it into something that every interviewer can use. And so here we are, on launch day :)
💻 Features: what makes InterviewKit unique
InterviewKit is essentially a way to organize and visualize your interviews, with time-saving tools and analytics stacked on top. Everything works neatly together, allowing you to keep a clear overview without wasting any time or losing valuable insights.
🕙 Automatically schedule interviews (even with breaks and multiple interviewers)
✍️ Automatically transcribe interview audio, and edit it with a smart editor
🎥 Add audio and HD video to interviews, and sync their transcripts
📊 See analytics of your sample, like age and gender distribution
📝 Quickly add findings, with or without a transcript
🔖 Label interviews and findings for easy analysis, with groups and filters
👋 Add others to projects and collaborate in real-time
📫 Type one email and send it to dozens of interviewees (personalized with variables, templates and scheduling)
🌎 Design and publish forms to let interviewees provide their own details (even let them provide their availability, so you can automatically schedule them)
🎁 Present your results to others with built-in presentations
🌙 And yes, it has dark mode :)
❤️ Thank you
Thanks to everyone that has been testing InterviewKit for the past few months and the people that inspired me to build & launch it. And thank you for taking the time to read & being a part of this 🙂
I think everyone has already said it, but the UI looks ✨elegant✨! What are you using for frontend? Also, the video demo is awesome...did you produce it yourself? If not, would love to know how/where you got it made!
@hassanshaikh That's so nice Hassan, thank you! I created the front-end from scratch with plain React, made the video and background music myself too with Premiere/After Effects and Logic 😁
