Hylinker is a browser extension that helps you annotate text, images & videos and connect them with bi-directional, one-to-many links. You can manage annotation & take notes with a Twitter-like interface.
Hylinker is offline-first. All functions except cloud service are free to use and available without signing in.
Cloud services include syncing annotation with Hylinker’s server and note-taking Apps (OneNote for now). Also, you can retrieve external notes in Hylinker and connect to them.
Hello Product Hunters,
I am super excited to share Hylinker with you. Here are what Hylinker can do:
Your own hyperlink & web:
When browsing web pages, if you want to make some annotations, there are many tools to choose from. But what if you want to link to content on other web pages? It would be great if you could create a hyperlink on any web pages. This is the problem that Hylinker wants to solve. Hylinker combines the features of annotation and hyperlink to help you build your own web.
This is similar to Ted Nelson's Xanadu project, but Hylinker establishes connections between different content on the existing World Wide Web, rather than between same quotations.
Your own Twitter:
Annotations are independent sentences, so what is a better way to organize them? Hylinker provides a Twitter-like interface for managing annotations. Here, you can review annotations, add comments and connections and even take notes like posting tweets.
Offline-first features & cloud services:
All functions except cloud service are free to use and available without signing in. Cloud services include syncing annotation with Hylinker’s server and note-taking Apps (OneNote for now, connection to Notion is in development). Also, you can retrieve external notes from these Apps in Hylinker and connect to them.
This is our first-ever launch, and we're really glad about hearing you out. Don't hesitate to reach out to us with any questions or feedback.
