Easy to use, convenient too, no signup-thats so cool and like the emoticons mapping with the events.. Kudos to the team on launch.. Cant wait to share with friends..
Hello PH! 👋
Recently, I had to share a reminder with several people. I don't use calendar apps at daily basis, but to solve this I decided to use Google Calendar. I created an event, copied the link and shared it with a group of people - it turned out that most of them do not use calendar apps at all! 😯
I needed a way to create reminder links quickly and without linking recipients to a specific calendar app. So Hapen was born! 🎉
The idea has grown into a small service where people can create events and share them online with anyone, without any signup! 💫
Here’s a small example: You can remind anyone when a new Batman movie is coming out: https://hapen.io/pCiAN9p 🦇
At this early stage, we support these integrations:
- Web Push (Desktop Chrome & Safari)
- Telegram
- Google Calendar
- iCalendar
- Outlook Calendar
- Yahoo Calendar
I would be very grateful if you read a short post about the main motivation of the service, about our use cases: https://hapen.io/blog/about
If you have any ideas or suggestions write to me in the online chat on the site, I will respond to you as soon as possible! 😇
I love the approach of this and how easy it is to create a good looking event page on Hapen.
Often, if I'm planning events with a group of friends or professionally it can be challenging to come up with the easiest means of keeping all the information in one place, and what was perhaps a simple event, to begin with descends into a lot of admin trying to create calendar invites, perhaps a Facebook event and more.
This makes things a whole lot easier. I'd be curious to see what your future plans with Hapen are?
I'd love to be able to create an event on Hapen, but with those, I invite, being able to select dates they're available so that I could plan events where the majority of people could attend - sort of like a Calendly link, but with more information about an event & users able to set reminders for themselves to let them know when an event's time/date has been chosen.
@calum Hello Calum! 👋
Thank you for your detailed feedback, we are very glad that you described the existing problem which we are purposefully solving right now.
Within our team we call the functionality that you described "set of reminders". The idea is that your event page has multiple time points where users can set themselves reminders.
For example, you have time points at 5, 6, 7 PM. And users with whom you shared this page can only set reminders at 5 and 7 PM. These time points can be created by both you and those to whom you have given access.
We plan to give users the ability to follow the event pages to keep track of the latest updates, set reminders, etc.
Our nearest plans:
- User dashboard (for more advanced event customization)
- Event page attachments - link & text attachments type
- Event page backgrounds (little demo here - https://hapen.io/VB9hF4x)
Speaking of more global plans, the above features will always remain free for our users. We are actively working on B2B features and services.
If you are interested and you have any questions, write to me at contact@hapen.io 😉
