At Toucan, we know learning is one of the most rewarding things you can do. Itβs also one of the most difficult things too. It takes time, practice and dedication. Toucan makes all that a little easier.
Seeing words in context is crucial to successfully learning a new language. So each time you visit a website, Toucan automatically translates certain words and phrases on the page into the language youβre trying to learn. That way, you can build your vocabulary in a new language within the context of one youβre already comfortable with.
Those translations arenβt picked at random either. Using artificial intelligence, Toucan selects words and phrases that are right for the userβs skill level. Then, once weβre confident they know a word, it automatically swaps in new ones for them to learn.
Toucanβs approach has been proven to work just as well as classic exercises like flashcards. In fact, sometimes itβs more effective. So you can enjoy learning your new language without needing to set aside hours of time for flashcards and studying.

@adityavsc Hey Aditya! Yes, we tidied our nest, spiffed up our feathers and updated our algorithms. Toucan can now help you learn a new language on Safari, Chrome and Edge. We've also launched new languages including Arabic, Mandarin, Hebrew, Hindi, and English. In addition, we have all new customization and quizzing features to help our users dive deeper into learning a new language.
Why would you add Safari support before Firefox? Still upsets me that people want to support Google & Apple browsers before Mozilla. :(
