Cerebella is a flash card learning platform, using a spaced-repetition learning algorithm to allow you to memorize information quickly and effortlessly, by prompting you when your memory needs refreshing. ChatGPT-enabled to effortlessly create flash cards.
I'm a lifelong learner and engineering/languages dual major, and have been using flash cards to help me become fluent in 5 languages as well as to quickly master topics in my professional life. The existing flash cards are either too simplistic (Quizlet), too focused on one domain like languages (Memrise), or are overly complex and hard to get started with on mobile (Anki).
I set out to make a flash card app that was fun to use, as well as powerful under the hood. It uses a true spaced-repetition learning algorithm which allows you to learn and (most importantly) RETAIN information you want to keep in your active memory by prompting you at just the right time.
It hooks into ChatGPT to facilitate the creation of flash cards (by topic or by uploading material like study notes, coming soon). And further AI enhancements like image generation for flash cards take the effort out of getting started on your learning journey.
What has your experience of flash cards been? Did you use physical index cards in school? I'd like to know what you like or dislike about your current methods, and what you're learning right now!
@kyrylosilin Thank you! You can create flash cards by giving a topic, and it is calling ChatGPT API on the back end, then doing some post-processing and image fetching to create the cards. Later I plan to add the ability to upload content like PDFs and have it generate cards. That is fairly trivial now the foundation is built.
