Ardor designs fitness routines with unique workout challenges based on evolving predictions about your strength, speed, and fitness. Built around your ability, equipment, schedule, energy level on a given day, and combined mix of interests.
Hi all,
Jordan here from Ardor.
We are super excited to get this out in the wild. We have been testing Ardor for the past year with an internal pool of users who have been patient with us as we trained Ardor how to make better predictions about someone's strength and fitness abilities. It's been a journey and based on recent data, we are ready for the next stage. We are guaranteeing Ardor will guess within 5% accuracy for any strength or speed/fitness workout after you finish just your second workout.
We started out with a goal to have workouts and routines built around individuals. To not only predict how much weight someone should use or how many reps they can do of something but to take it one step further: make wild predictions about someone's speed and endurance inside a gym. What's your cardio like? When are you going to start slowing down in a high intensity workout?
What excites us is being able to give people a way to compete against themselves. Where you are tasked with workouts you are able to do but that also push you. With a challenge or a goal for every session - something that says, "based on what you did last week, today I think you should aim to do 4 rounds before the timer runs out." or "Try and use this weight today for each set".
If you've used FitBod or FitnessAI, it will feel familiar but what makes us special is how we predict your speed and fitness too. We also let you build personal routines where you can say things like "I want to do a lot of weightlifting strength training, a little bit of cardio circuit workout, and once in a while, throw in some bodyweight strength stuff".
@jordan_lund like having a personal trainer at my fingertips. I can easily change up what equipment I have whether at home or on vacation and everything is altered for me and never fails to be spot on for my timing or give me the push i need.
@kalexander Thank you and thanks for being an early tester. Having a fitness app follow you rather than you following its program was definitely the core goal and driver for how we made designed each feature.
Got me to download but the magic of the app was buried , will give feedback on the app later today. Check out the review of Opus.pro on the playlist, that had what you need for the hero part - Goated.vc Daily Teardowns #23 Ardor

@frank_denbow whoa! Thank you for documenting your first run experience and providing feedback of what you liked and what you'd like to see differently.
The magic sauce is in how workouts evolve. That separates us a lot. When changing the weights or reps of one exercise, other exercises you haven't done with Ardor yet get more accurate. Or when you do a round/timed based workout and come in faster or slower, future speed workout challenges with different exercises you haven't done yet get more accurate.
Also, I saw you build a single, one off workout. I have that on the home tab to simplify getting a workout right away. But as you use it more, definitely try building a month routine. That's when it gets really interesting. You can build a routine with a mix of interests (e.g. strength, circuit, and bodybuilding) and get it to build around your schedule, progressing week after week.
as for your feedback:
* I love the idea of putting the explainer walkthrough ahead of the signup page. Will do.
* I agree there needs more visuals/graphics in place of text in parts. Definitely something I want to add over time. Need to focus on making more content and growing team.
* Yes to preloading gym equipment. Perhaps a good starting point is to have a few options at the top where you can say "typical commercial gym" or "typical home setup". etc.
* The intake form is long, I'd like to shorten it but have to walk the tightrope of making sure first few workouts are somewhat accurate and intake isn't super long
Hey, I've been doing CrossFit for eight years. The workouts the AI behind this app generates are just crazy. That's a glance into the future and a true use case where AI totally makes sense. Spot on.
@joemoeat Thank you! Our roots definitely started in CrossFit. We wanted someone to be able to explore all areas of fitness like CrossFit does but then take it up a notch. Let people dial in specific routines that make sense for them with a specific mix of interests that makes sense for them. Want to do a lot of bodybuilding work and but also throw in some conditioning/HIIT? Easy. Want to focus on your bodyweight strength but you have a kettlebell that you want thrown in once in a while? No problem. You can mix things together around a schedule that works for you, with the equipment you have, and workouts that come with an individual goal/challenge. As you progress, the workouts progress too. Rather than following someone else's program.
