Easy to use, accurate/consistent GPS tracking, good training guidance, and good social media setup to share with others.
Strava is a great app. They should walk that extra mile just to make sure the user-fed data is correct. Sometimes, you will see unrealistic data in leaderboard for speeds - maybe improving that would help.
Great for runners, cyclists and distance-focused sports. Wish there were more features for weightlifting, gym, and sauna.
The app is fine but it’s their data grab. By using their app you give them rights to use your health data and even your photos any way they see fit. Which is an awful invasion of privacy. They also make it very difficult to go back and delete your images, you have to scroll back and do it individually. They want to charge for their app (fine) push ads AND collect your data…. To probably sell on, they are obviously schooled in the Adobe Photoshop school of customer service.
I was very positive about Strava until I witnessed its handling—or not handling, rather—of the _many_ users who asked for a “Stand with Palestine” map addition. My Runners for Justice in Palestine group alone is now more than 4,000 Strava users, all repeatedly requesting the addition of this map. Strava does not respond. We will all be canceling our paid subscription. You correctly added Black Lives Matter, Support Ukraine and Pride maps, and you fail to explain why our request is not honored. The repercussions of this will be felt by Strava more acutely as time passes.
Worst app ever. No features work as they should. Auto pause works sometimes, others you might get credit for half or some of your ride. Route planning, links, aren't working most of the time. I've gotten credit for hitting top speed of 74 MPH on a casual ride. Don't waste your time, and especially, don't waste your money.
I have been using Strava since 2018. I have tried different trackers for running and hiking, but this product is still the best for me.
