Recently an unfixable security flaw in Trezor was released through a blog post by Kraken Labs. Trezor has its code open-source but the closed source architecture of other hardware wallets makes them hard to analyze for vulnerabilities, even if they might have flaws. I truly think the architecture for secure seed storage for crypto wallets is broken and that's why we are working on product that does not store your private keys in a single place and hence does not have a single point of failure in its storage, unlike the hardware wallets of today.
