Hey everybody - I’m Kristaps, I’ve been working on Specfox for couple months now and finally I'm happy to announce our full launch.
While being employed as a project manager in web development companies for several years I had to be an intermediary between designers & developers. And one of the really time consuming tasks there was to create web specs for developers in order to ensure all is created as client and designer had envisioned.
It always took quite significant amount of time as none of the tools I tried were really making the job easy. And if I wanted to make specs look really nice (I mean better than just long blocks of text or screens inserted in word document with some text boxes over it) I could easily spend a half a day just on creating specs.
And that’s were the idea for Specfox was born.
At it’s core Specfox has very straight forward functionality -> add screens -> add notes -> export pdf. It’s built with one main idea in mind - to save time and ease up the process.
We launched our beta in February and so far the response has been very positive - users have reported the time savings on creating specs up to 70%.
In the upcoming weeks we’ll be adding functionality of online specs (non pdf), updating screens without loosing notes, keyboard shortcuts and also single screen downloads with annotations. Google Drive & Dropbox integration is also coming as well as multi-user accounts & commenting.
I’ll be really happy to hear your feedback, and will be here for any comments/questions.
And nearly forgot - we got a good deal for all of you as well - 50% discount for first 3 months. Use coupon code “PRODUCTHUNT" at the checkout.
Really Cool product there. I felt happy, It really saves time. One thing I would like to suggest here, is a preview option to preview the content inside the PDF. As a user I would like to see preview option that would help me to know how it looks before PDF is exported.
Best Regards!
