@garrytan thanks, Garry. I am excited to give back my social capital to starting founders similar to how YC partners did when we were starting Mighty Buildings. Socap.ai is a perfect tool for this
@sentry_co Ha, that's one use case for sure. My recommendation though is not to waste time on these forms. We're more focused on automating your regular introductions routine e.g. reconnecting, requesting intros, etc. This is what we call "parallel fundraising".
What are you working on? Would love to see you apply to the bootcamp, I'll share more on the above.
@sentry_co How do you know that they work? You should measure by the end result (money in the bank) and not by the return rate. Cold outreach is 10x less effective compared to warm intros in our experience.
@ednevsky From experience raising. and also learning from experience from other founders at antler. We are 3k VC funded founders now in the same slack team, so we share these kinds of things. Wam intros are great once you have a relevant case, but at the same time you don't really need intros when your relevant. So it can be good when you're sort of in-between not relevant and relevant I guess. And yes. making a fast lane for intros as a service can work. But it needs to be transparent, like okay. these are the metrics or green flags you need to get onto this warm intro fastlane. Right now your service is a bit opaque. There is no info on what you're looking for. Which makes a lot of founders sceptical that this is a honeytrap etc. Which many similar services are. Ways to grab pitch decks with business models and IP and copy them in other countries etc.
@sentry_co I get it, thanks for sharing. We're certainly no honeytrap and our profiles/backgrounds speak for themselves. Will take your feedback into consideration, though!
I am curious about this, hence supporting and applying out of curiosity. I think a bit more info over what to expected would be good though. For example, when applying, there is no more info about bootcamp at all on the provided link, or/and it seems that one needs to be registered already in order to get more info. Is it a paid bootcamp? Is it free? I would expect to be told so, when asked if I want to participate. In other words, I have the feeling that your launch here is not aligned with the content and waiting list onboarding process on your site.

Our bootcamps are free to join but subject to selection - there are a ton of founders applying! Make sure to refer more founder friends to increase your chances of getting in.

@ednevsky Yeah that link is what I meant. That link doesn't have any info. It is a sign in page for me. I'm not signed up, and I don't see how to sign up. If I sign in with gmail, it says invalid email. Maybe you see something else because you're signed in?

@dzianis_yatsenka we use LinkedIn and email as initial data sources, while the actual social capital management is done within our app
Great product/idea. How do you plan on driving more initial traffic to your site? It seems like the hardest part is to get enough projects and VCs to the site to build an ecosystem
We are fully focusing on fundraising now and would love to give it a go! We are always here to support YC products and we even have a few YC companies using our product. Congrats guys and good luck!

So powerful for startups. When you're looking to raise it can be a pain to find the right investor. You want to make sure you're reaching out to VCs where you align with their investment thesis.
What I found Socap cool is the community aspect - honestly the Saas is great (to speed things up and scale), but this is really building a community. Once you are validated by other members (by adding value), you are in the pool. And that's where the magic happens.

I am a two-time Y Combinator alum, having founded Socap.ai (W23) and Mighty Buildings 2 (W18), and so far I have successfully raised over $180M from top Silicon Valley and international VCs, including Khosla Ventures. I boast a strong network of 500 VCs globally through my personal CRM. My expertise extends beyond Silicon Valley, with significant experience in Singapore/South-East Asia and Europe.
Previously, I ran my own venture firm, investing in seed-stage companies, with 2 out of 17 investments, Boom and Solugen, becoming unicorns.
I’m so tired of seeing founders misunderstanding what the successful fundraise looks like. Oftentimes it’s a one-time opportunity and if you fuck up the process, that’s it.

@ednevsky Thanks a ton! My co-founders are the coolest Cambridge scientists. Our mission is to reduce CO2 levels to fight global warming. We already have technology that works for both B2C and B2B. I find the B2C part the most exciting—in short, people will be playing a game during which they will operate a special machine. This machine will be working in real life, collecting CO2.

Most of the founders are busy building great companies. Fundraising takes a lot of time and effort. Socap.ai makes CRM creation and fundraising process lot easier. It's simple to use and can really help you check out your network to find helpful connections, ways to get introduced to your ideal VCs just in a few clicks.
I see some innovation there. Wish I could try this now, but should save it for later.
