ChatGPT can now search the web in a much better way than before. You can get fast, timely answers with links to relevant web sources, which you would have previously needed to go to a search engine for.

The successor to the SearchGPT Prototype has arrived — and with it, a competent, conversational competitor to Perplexity 2.0. How many of your searches now start with ChatGPT instead of Google?

Just when I was starting to think "Who googles things anymore in 2024"? BOOM! Hey @sama, here's my list for Christmas: 1. OpenAI Browser - So I can ditch Chrome 2. Ads Platform - If you'll be killing Google just like that, at least give me an option to advertise on ChatGPT Search. 3. A mini Power Rangers Megazord with ChatGPT with red laser eyes. I promise you I've been good this year. P.S. If I had to choose only one, it's #3.

The ChatGPT Search function performs well, providing real-time access to the latest information and filling in gaps in the model's knowledge base, making it especially useful in fast-changing fields. ChatGPT Search vs Kimi and Google 1. Compared to Kimi, ChatGPT offers a more natural conversational experience and presents information more concisely, though Kimi may have a slight edge in information update speed in specific contexts. 2. When compared to Google, ChatGPT Search provides more precise answers without requiring users to browse multiple pages, though sometimes it lacks depth in details. ChatGPT Search is ideal for quick, concise answers, while Google excels in offering comprehensive, detailed information with a variety of sources, allowing users to assess content reliability themselves.

ChatGPT Search is such a game-changer for anyone who loves finding quick answers or doing research on the fly! It’s amazing to have a smart search feature that pulls up reliable, context-driven information without the usual back-and-forth across tabs. If they could make the interface a bit more customizable, it would be perfect for those who like tailoring their search experience. Definitely a handy tool for quick insights and deeper research, and it’s exciting to see where it’s headed! 👏

Way better than I expected it to be!
I've been using it more and more for quick questions, especially when I need context or a detailed explanation right in one place.

It seems like a structure that will be used more for quick searches, not for people who deal with research articles, but rather for those who want to handle their daily work or learn information quickly. For deep and detailed topics, I think Google is still better.

Indeed RIP Google search. Bravo.
