I see a lot of awesome product videos people make for their product hunt launch. I wanted to make one but was told it would take a month and cost a couple thousand dollars. Are their cheaper tools that you can use to DIY it?
I’m on the same boat! For a cost-effective and quick solution, I’m considering using Loom to create a personal walkthrough-style demo. It seems great for capturing screen recordings and adding a personal touch with your narration. If the visual presentation from Loom doesn’t meet my expectations, I plan to edit it using Adobe Premiere or Hit Film Express (Free) to polish it up and add any necessary enhancements. But yes if you are considering Motion Graphics I would recommend After Effects instead.
@paul_richards1, for example, I didn't use templates, which can be tempting 😉. Instead, I focused on making my message, the text, dance 🕺.
P.S. Recall looks good. I'll give it a spin.
@paul_richards1 Today we launched on product hunt and I did the simple launch text video with canva. Nothing fancy but I think it works fine. Probably the music also helps 😉
@scofield1982 thanks Michael. Yes we are launching on Monday. Hopefully I will have my video by then. If all else fails, I will just go with Loom. Here is our launch page: https://www.producthunt.com/prod...
Hi Paul,
For creating Product Hunt launch videos, I exclusively use Loom. It's quick and easy to use, perfect for screen recordings and voiceovers. Here's why I recommend it:
Ease of Use: Simple setup and intuitive interface.
Speed: Create and share videos quickly without extensive editing.
Cost: Free with basic features, which are usually enough for most launch videos.
By focusing on clear, concise content, you can create effective launch videos without spending a lot of time or money.
