Relevance: Sending relevant content to the right audience is key. Tailoring your emails to the interests and preferences of your subscribers can increase engagement and conversions.
Permission: It's important to have explicit permission from recipients to send them emails. Unsolicited emails can lead to negative perceptions and unsubscribes.
Quality Content: High-quality content that provides value to recipients is more likely to be well-received. This could include informative articles, special offers, personalized recommendations, and more. ADP Workforce Now
Segmentation: Segmenting your email list based on demographics, behavior, or interests can help you send more targeted and relevant messages, increasing the likelihood of positive responses.

I have actually heard really good things about email marketing, but the campaigns need to be really targeted. This is only B2B SaaS that I have anecdotal experience in. Not sure how it would play with other segments.
Another good one for B2B SaaS is LinkedIn outreach - from what I have been told.
