One thing that always works for me: "never take work home- never postpone today's work to another time"
Schedule you personal time and attend it like an important meeting

Balance comes in when you have defined and organized functioning/workflow. That is enjoyed mostly by bigger organizations. Most of the peeps here at PH, are startups, solopreneurs, enthusiasts, etc. who have a hectic schedule and no time. So, I be like... Work hard and party harder. Make sure to be drained by Friday. And forget you have a professional life post-Fri-yay. And don't forget, get S^%& done! 🤘

Time blocking. Not just for your work tasks, but also for your: - Exercise - Quality time with loved ones - Rest/breaks - Adventures Time blocking personal time has the following benefits: 1. You are more likely to actually do something if you make a commitment on your calendar to do it at a specific time for a specific duration. 2. Work is less likely to interfere with personal time if your colleagues see that you are unavailable on your calendar. 3. Planning adventures ahead of time (even months in advance) has the added benefit of positive anticipation. Studies have shown that this anticipation for fun events can give you consistent joy leading up to the date, sometimes even more joy than the actual event!
