I feel like Product Hunt is getting that Reddit vibe when it comes to Forums.
After waking up, the new "formatting structure" surprised me.
There are 2 main changes:
1) New text editor for New thread
2) New text editor when contributing comments
This means that you can use Bold, Italics and combine them.
Code block
Blockquote
Link, Mention someone with the handle @rohanrecommends (Hey, Rohan! 😄👋)
Ordered list
with numbers
Bullet list
with dots
And one SPECIAL THING that I do not know whether it was intended but I love it! – If you accidentally click to another page while you are working on a thread and come back, the text window still remembers the text you have typed so far.
Do you like these new changes?
New Text Editor is quite sleek and impressive.

@stephen_maden THIS! ☝️

P.S.: I noticed that I cannot post images, so in the future, I would recommend add some of those like Img, Video, Gif and maybe charts.
@busmark_w_nikaIf image posting becomes available, it’ll be really convenient and could make the forum even more active.

@busmark_w_nika me too

@busmark_w_nika Editor persistence was intentional :)

Thanks for sharing! Is there any way to save your post? 😁
minimalist phone: creating folders
@kate_ramakaieva As far as I know, @ph_leeanntrang launched one month ago this extension: https://www.producthunt.com/products/product-hunt-favorites
And it should also save posts? :)
Product Hunt
@kate_ramakaieva @busmark_w_nika yes, it does! A couple folks have asked and it does work for that. When you click save, it automatically pulls the title of the forum thread and you can add whatever tags you want so you could filter on them. You can also use the search tool if you want to look for it in your favorites list either by title or description you added.
I like this new text editor, it feels much more feature-rich. I’d love it even more if the text window could provide an emoji picker. I often find it inconvenient to input emojis on the computer web page.

@evakk good idea with those emojis :) I like too.

Very good improvements for sure!

@konrad_sx It surprised me in a very positive way, indeed! :)

@manu_armani 🤜🤛 Welcome to the team! :D
Ahaha. I also really love the design that remembers the previous content. I really hate having to type the same thing all over again. It can be so frustrating.
Thanks for the info! I didn't even notice myself.

@elenat You are welcome. 😇 I am pretty sure that this will improve user experience :)
These are solid changes, and I think they align with PH’s direction to stay ahead by focusing on community-driven tools. A strong community and network effects will keep bringing users back.

@ash_groverI hope so :)
This change is really impressive. It will help people express their opinions effectively.

@kay_arkain I think that text will be better readable :)
Love these updates, Nika! The autosave feature is a lifesaver—no more losing drafts. The new formatting should make discussions more engaging. Excited to see if this encourages longer conversations.
By the way, we’re launching soon! Would love your thoughts—just visit my page and click ‘Try Helix for FREE’!
