New to PH, looking for launch advice

Hi All, My name is Tim & I am new to PH. I am planning to hunt a product that I have been working on, but wanted to get some advice about building a launch plan. PH has some great resources available (this blog post has been super helpful: https://blog.producthunt.com/how...), but I also wanted to get advice from experienced Hunters. 1. What are the best things my team can focus on leading up to launch? 2. How much lead time should we give ourselves? 3. Any resources for launch advice you would recommended? Thank you!

Lead time will depend on how successful the launch you want. If your product is quite an early stage I would recommend you to make a no-frill launch targeting the top 20: https://medium.com/@fabian-maume... If you want to reach the top 5: this is my action plan (all tasks have their own lead-time): https://docs.google.com/spreadsh... I would strongly advise your team to be active in product hunt discussions at least 2 weeks before the launch.

Your experience described in the Medium article is very interesting and will definitely help us in mapping out the resources we will dedicate to the effort. The Google Sheet is a massive help as well - great summary of all the considerations and cadence. Thanks again!
