Although we've seen a decrease in losses (a big win!), there's still a significant challenge ahead. - 1.4 million phishing sites are created every month, creating a digital minefield for the unwary. - Social engineering remains a popular tool among crypto scammers. So, if you ever see accounts belonging to Barack Obama, Joe Biden, Benjamin Netanyahu, or Elon Musk suggesting you grab some tokens (yes, this really happened!)—it's probably best to steer clear. Hi Alex, Congratulations on your success and thanks for your time. There are a plethora of viruses that can be downloaded unknowingly that will scour our computer for seed phrases and private keys that a hacker can exploit. There have also been seed phrases kept in Google Drive and iCloud accounts that have been hacked into and stolen. Does Web3 prevent viruses and malware from accessing our computer through encryption or does it isolate them from other applications? Thanks

Hi @dsarkar, Thank you for the congratulations and for bringing up an important topic. Web3 Antivirus operates differently from traditional antivirus software. While traditional antivirus programs are designed to protect your computer by blocking malicious software downloads and preventing harmful code from executing, Web3 Antivirus focuses specifically on the crypto space, alerting you to scam transactions, malicious signature requests, and phishing sites targeting your crypto assets. Regarding the protection of seed phrases and private keys, Web3 Antivirus alerts users to phishing or scam sites where information might be compromised. However, for direct protection against viruses and malware that could target files like seed phrases stored on your computer or cloud accounts, a traditional antivirus solution would be necessary. In essence, Web3 Antivirus complements your cybersecurity setup by adding an extra layer of protection specifically tailored for the Web3 ecosystem. Hope this clears things up!

Our team is always on the lookout, researching the latest scams and staying engaged with the Web3 community to spot emerging trends. We're essentially on the front lines, keeping tabs on new developments and discussions within Web3 spaces. This allows us to constantly update Web3 Antivirus's detectors, ensuring it identifies and warns users about new threats as they arise.
