How important is a beautiful UI for a product today?

as a designer and PM myself, very very important

My take is as software gets easier to build, the form of what's shipped to the end user will matter even more 😀 And in a world where you can have a great working product + a beautiful (and functional) UI, why not? I launched Remention today btw. It's what I think a beautiful, functional UI should look like :)

I'd say, the UI doesn’t need to be overly beautiful, but it should look decent and functional. A clean, well-designed UI shows that care has gone into building the product. It also depends on whether it’s B2B or B2C. For B2B, a decent UI that solves business pain points is enough. For B2C, the stakes are higher and competition is intense, so the UI should be up to par to stand out.

Beautiful is a strong and sensitive word. For me, a nicely done and balanced UI with clean UX convert prospects into customers.
