I've been considering hiring freelancers to take over some of the content creation for our company, RaftLabs, but I'm unsure about the process. Have you outsourced content creation, and what was your experience like?
Yes, we have used several external content creators in the past. Key to a good and clean process are the content briefings for each content piece.
As I'm coming from a SEO background, I used to first do a keyword analysis to see, which fields would be interesting for readers. From there I took the 20 most important keywords into a google file. I structured them into paragraphs, so that each paragraph followed 2-3 keywords.
That way you get a good structure going that you can hand over to your external content creator. It ensures, that he/she clearly understands the goal of that content piece and how to structure it.
Oh lord... It's been almost a 50-50 hit-or-miss situation for me. Upwork has given me the best results and even then It's pretty hard.
Any better suggestions anyone?
I have hired freelancers for content creation, and it's like dating—some matches are fantastic, while others, not so much. It's crucial to find the right fit for your brand. Speaking of finding the right match, have you heard of "Her Ideal Match"? It could be an interesting parallel in finding the perfect freelancer!
