I think freemium is a ~generally speaking~ better choice these days as people want unrestricted access to testing out the product. Moreover, users are getting tired of losing money to forgotten subscriptions and free trials to new products can abuse this fallacy.

@aignise thanks! Indeed, we're on free trial and I receive quite a few requests from customers who forgot to cancel their subscription.

Freemium generally gives you an opportunity to convert a customer down the line. For Free-trial, it forces a customer to make a call very early on whether they'll pay for your product.

@laurentiu_cotet a SaaS for ecommerce brands. It's a partnership platform to help to them acquire new customers through partner brands.

@mehdi_rifai I would go for freemium, but be careful to not endup with lots of users and none of them to pay :(
