I've always just used Twitter, but I noticed that I'm getting a lot of Linkedin connections from Product Hunt users. Any advantages of LinkedIn over Twitter?

in my case LinkedIn, since I have been actively using it my network has expanded, both in virtual and real life ๐Ÿ˜ If we want to chat and talk about some project let's connect ๐Ÿ˜Š https://www.linkedin.com/in/marc...

In Linkedine there is a professional public, which has more serious interests. And Tweeter is usually just about reading laid-back messages.

@elenat I know there is a business side to Twitter that make a lot of money from their followers there, but yes its not as formal which i like a lot.

Twitter seems more political. I prefer linkedin only.

LinkedIn for sure but I think for product people Twitter might be superior.

I've noticed there's a stronger PH community on Twitter specifically. In my experience, people that find each other on PH and have a genuine interest in connecting further (either recreationally or to do business together) will usually do so using LinkedIn. Here's my profile for those looking to connect! https://ca.linkedin.com/in/joietac My team provides development and design services for early stage startups :)

@joieta_choudhury Interesting, thanks for your insight, I've not really got involved with the community on Linkedin yet. I sent you a connection req by the way ๐Ÿค

Twitter, on the other hand, is fantastic for real-time updates, engaging with a broader audience, and staying on top of trending topics. It's more casual and can be great for building a personal brand. https://twitter.com/taomindos let's connect on twitter

I've noticed a shift too! LinkedIn seems to be the go-to for more meaningful professional connections. Twitter's great for quick convos, but LinkedIn has this depth to it.

I use LinkedIn more for professional networking and information. I use Twitter for staying updated on news and trends and funny memes ๐Ÿ˜‚

@cameronscully_ I'm more active on Linkedin (as I also have a bigger audience there), but would like to step up my Twitter / X game - not sure how though. Anyone has specific advice to improve it?
