For brainstorming and more creative side of things, having a team to bounce off ideas is always better. However, when it comes to focused work where there's a clear goal and everyone knows which way to go, it's easier to be focused when working alone.
As someone who is very extroverted though, I am highly in need of the social interaction with my colleagues for my own intrinsic motivation.
I prefer teamwork because it combines diverse skills and perspectives, leading to more creative solutions and making the journey to the goal as rewarding as the achievement itself.
Working as a team.. Working in a team with structured model help me generate more better results as compared to working alone. but yes work should be remote!!. ^_^
Work as a team.
By "team", I don't mean that other members HAVE TO put their hands into your project or work but having people around you doing the similar work can make your adventure much more enjoyable as you will face the same challenges as other people and will make it easier to tackle them or have someone to talk about these things that can understand.
You can also explain your project to your friends, colleagues and surroundings so everyone will hold you responsible for not giving your best as you probably don't want to disappoint them.
This was a very tedious question for me.
As a non-core tech founder (although I can code a bit), I had to deal with this question, and finally here is what I discovered:
When you work alone, you have the freedom (perceived) but you lack feedback
When you work with the team, you need to trust to prevail (with yardsticks to pursue and measure).
When you start, you are the team. No one comes to support unless they see an idea taking shape.
As Cliche as it sounds - When you go alone, you go fast. But then you go with the team, you go far but one follows the other. I am following exactly this.
