Hey, I'm glad someone started this discussion here on Product Hunt. I have a bachelors degree in Sports training and science and with that I learned a lot about nutrition. People think that good, quality food only makes you look good, but that is actually the second best thing it does. The first is that it makes you feel super good about yourself and way more productive also. Whenever I eat crap (fast food, sweets, alcohol, ...) I feel bad and I can't concentrate on my work at all. I literally feel stupid. That is why I prioritize whole foods (single ingridient - ex. banana, chicken, asparagus, blueberries, ... you get the point). Because I eat like this 95% of the time I look good, I feel good, I move better, I'm more confident and another plus side, I literally can't get sick. @boris_moris44 I really like your idea. About 90% of products have hidden sugar inside. I love it that your app isn't just MyFitnessPal with a twist. I don't know the market but I feel there is a demand for such an app. Great idea!

Yes, I understand very clearly that only with proper nutrition I can feel good. That's why I often follow different diets and thus do not saturate my body with bad elements. @mia0davis I do the same, but I ran into the problem that even when you are on a diet, some foods contain hidden sugars that can sometimes (not always) have a negative impact on your health. Try our app, I think it can help you to avoid this problem!

Reading through labels seems too hectic to me, so I can see a tool that makes the process easy change my mind in attempting to acquire that information. Do you plan on extending to other nutritional choices, apart from sugar detox?

Yes, Sometimes I read the food ingredients, but other times I don't. However, I believe that understanding food ingredients is crucial because food plays a vital role in maintaining health and preventing diseases as well.

Very interesting topic! I started paying attention to labels when I transitioned to a plant-based diet. Moving to Austria, I was pleasantly surprised by how easy it was to identify vegan products thanks to a small symbol—made my life so much easier! I wish there were a similar logo for "no added sugar" products. It would be a game-changer! Unfortunately, Sugar-Free: Food Scanner isn’t available in Austria yet, but I love the idea and can’t wait to try it when it is.

You are what you eat :) Eat lots of: 🥩 Steak 🫀 Liver - the most nutritionally dense food on the earth 🫐🍓 Blueberries and strawberries - antioxidants 🥚 Eggs - the egg yolk contains all vitamins except vitamin C Some useful tips: 🍽️ Never eat carbs on their own! Always add fats and protein for stable blood sugar. ☕ Don't have coffee on an empty stomach and before 12pm, let your cortisol go down in the morning first! 🥗 Before a carb-heavy meal, eat a veggie starter (salad). This will help with your glucose disposal. 🍗 Try to incorporate 30g of protein into each meal. 🧪 Take magnesium every day; every cell of your body is using it! Things you should never eat: ❌ Seed oils! Avoid! 🐟 Farmed salmon 🥞 Sweets for breakfast - sorry, no pancakes 🌭 Processed meat (hot dogs, ham)
