Did our first launch and here are my takeaways.

We did our first #betalaunch on Product Hunt, and here are my quick takeaways. 1️⃣ Building your network at least weeks prior to the launch (if not months) will give you a good head start. You have to be interested, deliberate, and involved, not just with other makers but your niche audience too. 2️⃣ Starting early in the week seems to be a better option (logistically). This is still a hypothesis, but from what I can see, people launching on Monday/Tuesday have the entire week to work towards weekly rank. Although Thursday is the recommended day, you will only have Thursday till Sunday to push your product. 3️⃣ Definitely start in the first hour. It worked for us, and you get good enough time to reach out, engage, and respond. 4️⃣ Upvotes to Comments ratio decides the placement. I noticed how easily we climbed the chart when our upvotes and comments were proportional, but as it happens, the wider the gap got (especially after entering top 20), the more difficult it was to even climb one rank. Definitely encourage people to give your product a try and share their reviews as comments. Genuine insights and questions help the makers. Check out our product and let us know your reviews. We'd love to listen to your feedback. https://www.producthunt.com/post... Here's to many more launches!
