I am not a designer, but I am usually looking into the websites that curate the best designs. + I usually scrim through yearly visual trends and stuff like that
Like, one from FreePik for example -https://knowledgehunt.co/resourc...
With the origin of the word "inspiration" - It comes from the Latin inspiratus (the past participle of inspirare, “to breathe into, inspire”) and in English has had the meaning “the drawing of air into the lungs” since the middle of the 16th century.
I would not call surfing through Pinterest and Dibbble to be very inspiring.. does it really breath soul into your lungs to do something great?
Inspiration should come from your users: their goals, painpoints, frustrations, and happiness. As a designer, it is your job to identify the above and come up with a solution that truly help your users. Use Pinterest and Dribbble as references, but should never be your inspiration.
