Clarity/Hotjar for Chrome Extensions

Seems like Clarity or Hotjar don't work (or work well) for Chrome extensions. How do other folks that have Chrome extensions as their product track user journey/behavior? Thanks in advance for your help!

Looking for this too, curious if there are any good options.

Smartlook Qualitative Analytics might work as they have a mobile sdk but never try to use if for chrome extension
