Are websites dying?

How quickly do you think the number of mobile users will dominate and standard sites will go down in history? Is classical web development still promising, or should we switch to applications as soon as possible?

I'd say it's still alive to certain target markets and websites are continuously evolving as well like this one.

People still browse websites even if they do it using smartphones/tablets. Especially if you work in a B2B segment people still use laptops for work.
