POLL: How do you transition from a part-time founder to full-time?

I always wondered what all different routes founders take to work on their idea fulltime. Even though raising money from an investor is the popular one I am wondering how common are the other routes.

You could also take out a loan, find an incubator/accelerator that works on an equity-only basis, crowdsource, family + friends, etc.

When I was bootstrapping I was also doing lecturing and consulting to ensure I had steady cash coming in.

@abadesi That's a very good option as well. Currently, I am doing that but I am at a point where the business I am creating need more time.
