Popout for YouTube is another extension that does that. Advantage: HTML5 player (hence 1.5x speed option) Disadvantage: Not always on top and not borderless It would be great if the HTML5 player could be incorporated into the "Floating YouTube" player.

@boettges Floating YouTube is now HTML5 by default (Flash only in Live streams using the Floating YouTube extension)
