Hey everybody, I recently launched my first product on Product Hunt and a couple people asked me the same question: What sets my product apart from competitors? This wasn’t a hard question to answer, but it made me realize that I didn’t know much about my competitors outside of two or three apps. I started googling, but the answers weren’t clear—there were a ton of ads and it was hard to find smaller apps. That’s why I decided to make Find My Comp—a simple search tool for creators. It uses GPT-4o-mini to turn the description of your product into a refined query and returns a list of potential competitors. That refined query is then passed to a Bing Search Engine with additional search filters to return a polished list of potential competitors. Find your competition before you build with Find My Comp!
