FastPortal exists to improve the communication between clients and service providers. We made FastPortal to scratch a personal itch. For a while now, we are used to doing pretty much anything online: from booking hotels & cars to ordering gadgets & clothing, even the government is moving towards web-based self-service with online tax filing, parking permits & pension overviews.
So how can it be that small business service providers (accountants, lawyers, notaries, copywriters, etc) are stuck firmly in a mindset where e-mail is considered high-tech? These firms are losing time and money by avoiding automation and, worst of all, annoying their clients by leaving them out of the loop. From speaking to potential customers we realized that they were avoiding online self-service portals out of a fear for a complex setup (consultants cost big $$$), difficulty in use and, often, the expense of maintenance.
So we set out to take away all those excuses. FastPortal’s features are quite cool (secure online document sharing, workflows, payments and messaging), but it also looks great and is intuitive to use. Most importantly, we think, it is really easy to setup and is affordable for businesses of all sizes.
We are now at a stage where we’ve tested it with a big launching customer and are ready to show it to the world. More than anything else, we are looking for customers who understand that we are in beta and that things might change here and there.
Our target audience is mainly (financial) business service providers like lawyers, accountants, notaries and mortgage advisors, but we are also very open to testing with other service providers like copywriters, translators, consultants, etc.
