Hunters, Makers, Lurkers: Today we’re excited to launch The Leaderboard, a redesigned version of our daily newsletter. Every edition will feature three staff perspectives on products you should know about, alongside yesterday’s leaderboard. Fast, fun, and ahead of the curve. We hope you love it, and maybe share it with a friend if you do.
The FDA just approved Apple’s “clinical grade” hearing aid technology, which is integrated into the new AirPods Pro 2. When enabled, the AirPods will boost specific sounds like speech or ambient noise in real time. The update also includes a new clinically validated hearing test feature that can help detect early signs of hearing loss. Honestly, I kind of love that Apple is providing a solution to the very problem prolonged use of their product could cause.
Osmos is a members-only, paid networking platform that connects you with a weekly “match” based on your professional interests. (It’s basically Lunchclub 2.0, if you remember that.) Cool idea, though I’m skeptical — consistently delivering high-quality matches seems hard at scale, the paywall is a big hurdle to adoption, churn probably kicks in fast, and...couldn’t you just slide in the DMs (or inboxes) of your professional crushes for free?
Because Lunchables wasn’t healthy enough, YouTubers MrBeast, Logan Paul, and KSI teamed up to launch a competitor called Lunchly. Each Lunchly box will include a bottle of Logan Paul and KSI’s sports drink Prime, MrBeast’s Feastables chocolate bar, and hopefully two tablets of Ozempic-for-Kids. I hope MrBeast doesn’t lock me in a room with these because I may eat them all. Evil genius-level vertical integration, tbh.
