Semrush is great all-in-one SEO tool that offers similar features to Ahrefs. It's especially good for keyword research and competitor analysis.

@marilena_n @andriyuh MOZ and Ahrefs are identical and generally show the same information, only in MOZ you can additionally see the spam rating of a site.

I may be biased, but Back SEO. Search engines love good content, and unlimited content scores and briefs and ai that isn't $30/article (unlike some of my competitors that can't pass detector tests, I pass it for only $0.02/article) literally a game changer. site started ranking faster and my client analysis has gotten cheaper. more people need to use it

@andriyuh Back SEO helps you write better SEO content. Using efficient NLP algorithms, it can analyze your writing, and outputs a content score that would enable you to rank for your Keyword. it also scans the competition, gives you some suggested headings, and you can run those headings through AI to improve them, then use the programmatic prompt-chain to create pillar content in seconds. All you gotta do to that content is proofread (which you should do anyways when you're doing on page SEO). When proofreading I try to aim for an 85+ score. Usually the AI only gets you to 60, adding that human touch is what makes content golden. other features are a simple site auditor (update coming next week to that), keyword generator (with search volume), client/AI prompt management for common prompts, internal link juicer .csv generator for WordPress sites, already implemented the latest GPT model (Instruct 3.5, quality is much better than ChatGPT 4), custom theme editor (idk why every app doesn't have this). you can check out the keyword generator for free from the website to get a feel for how fast the rest of the app is. being a native app, it's so much faster than SaaS SEO products. You don't have to wait for their animations to load, no waiting for their slow, overworked servers to send you basic data, and no having your data sold to your competitors.

@backseosoftware Is there a free tier, and if so, is it powerful? On par with MOZ and others?

@chitterz The Keyword Tool I give away for free currently, I'm looking into different ways to do a free tier, just haven't decided on one yet. I am looking for reviews for Back SEO, so if you'd like a free copy to review, let me know and you can decide whether or not it's as powerful. It's not as “big data-driven” as most bigname SEO tools, but tbh, I feel like efficiency and producing strong content (which is the ultimate goal of those tools in the first place) is what matters most.

@backseosoftware I'll try it sure, but can't promise to use it extensively at first as I'm in the middle of a big move and ramping on a new hire AND trying to fix my health. What can your software do for me, primarily and very simply? Why is it better --- very simply -- than others? I read the paragraphs below but I'm looking for a one sentence elevator description that sums it up in a snap.

What is the difference between Ahrefs and semrush? thanks
@jakeharr @andriyuh I´ve used both and I think the main differences are 1. Data Sources: Ahrefs and SEMrush have different data sources, which can result in slight variations in their metrics. Ahrefs mainly focuses on its own web crawler, while SEMrush uses a combination of third-party data providers. 2. Keyword Research: Both tools have robust keyword research capabilities, but Ahrefs has an edge when it comes to analyzing keyword difficulty and search volume accuracy. SEMrush, on the other hand, offers more detailed keyword ideas and competitive analysis features. 3. Backlink Analysis: Ahrefs is widely regarded as the industry leader in backlink analysis. Its backlink index is extensive and frequently updated, making it a go-to tool for analyzing competitors' backlinks. SEMrush also provides backlink data, but some users find Ahrefs' data to be more comprehensive. 4. Interface and User Experience: This is subjective, but many users find SEMrush's interface more intuitive and user-friendly. Ahrefs, however, has been making improvements in this area and has a sleek and modern interface. I hope this helps!

Ahrefs is a powerful all-in-one SEO tool that offers a wide range of features, including keyword research, competitor analysis, backlink analysis, and rank tracking. It's one of the most popular and trusted SEO tools in the industry, and for good reason.

Does anyone know a tool that is explicitly optimized for technical content for developers?
    flo merian
@vdelitz great question, Vincent! FYI @jonathan_reimer1 and his team launched 6 months ago Eagle Eye to monitor platforms where devs hang out (GitHub, dev.to, HN...) and find content in your niche, so you can engage with it. hope it helps!

As a marketing agency we use a lot of tools for marketing, traffics, and analytics measurement. But when it comes to SEO, google tools helps more then third party tools like SEMRush, Ahrefs and others. Because we works rank on google mostly so google trends, web master, and keyword planner helps a lot. There are a tons of task in SEO, keyword research, competitor research, website SEO audit, on-page , off-page and so on. And it's really tough job to handle all the SEO tasks with one tool, but for many cases you can handle with SEMRush, Ahrefs only.

Ahrefs for sure, and Google Analytics (though I don't like GA4 that much)
