I'll start. One of the best decisions I made was that before Covid hit, we decided to save some money in all projects. And that helped us a lot during Covid.

@nickanisimov woah that's smart! I think financial planning is the most important part of a founder's journey

@to_be_designed Without financial planning, it is very difficult for any business to be sustainable :)

Best call I ever made was partnering with technical experts instead of trying to learn everything myself and admitting I needed help! Used to think 'solo founder = do everything alone' until burning out taught me otherwise.

@tjlarkin I also realized that it is much easier and more effective to buy information from a professional than to try to learn everything on your own from scratch.

@tjlarkin note to self: learn to ask for help when needed
Aymen Loukil
Hi, The best thing I did was to teach people before trying to sell to them.
Nick Anisimov
@loukilaymen I agree 100%. Very cool insight.
xucian
do everything myself even front-end, which I hate(d) thank God svelte exists, I couldn't have made it
Nick Anisimov
@xucian 100% true. If you want something done well, do it yourself.
Ivan Balukov
Make as much as you can alone
Nick Anisimov
@balukov The main thing is to understand in time that you need to assemble a team :)
Emily Smith
Patience!

Your idea is just a starting point, don't get married to it. When the market is telling you something be humble enough to listen and prepared to pivot!

So far, it's been deciding to become a founder.
