Linkedin is better for me, but it depends a lot on who's your ICP and where they hang out. Also Linkedin is nice, but sometimes it's hard to generate useful and valuable content all the time – so sometimes I'm feeling tired, and then I share some things on X. Enjoying the second one more actually.

It really depends if you are b2b or b2c, but overall, I think Linkedin is still way undervalued. Twitter has become too noisy and requires a lot of effort to really build a meaningful audience + content is very short-lived so you need to be posting with a high frequency. Linkedin is very effective, and a high-quality post can deliver engagement for a week.

@massimocw Why do you think that is? Why is twitter getting oversaturated. And do you think that will happen to LinkedIn soon as well?

@sentry_co Partially is just the nature of the platforms. People tend to spend way more time on Twitter as it's mainly designed around engagement and interactions. This is cool... but also saturates the platform and tends to reward clickbaiting. Linkedin is more asynchronous... personally I check it twice per week in the best case. People post less content and it lives longer. Will it happen to Linkedin? Could be... marketers tend to destroy any platform that works and is not very good and enforcing limits :)

@massimocw Yeah. I thought limits would be important. Hence the guide I wrote today about LinkedIn rate limits. And yes I have seen old content pingpong way longer on LinkedIn. On twitter content die quickly. Unless it trends strongly.

@xavier_jj It can work but I think it's better to reach a limited but very selected number of potential buyers rather than a huge, less qualified audience.

If it is more like B2B then. I do not prefer to go for the impressions in the beginning. Looks like a shiny thing which i may not need at beginning of the startup. Prefer to focus more on direct sales on both platforms and building a user base. Obviously still keep building the relevant content and post on the social media on low priority, which is having relevant market. But this is as a directory in the beginning. Once you have enough users and content ready then may be reprioritising marketing. What are your thoughts?

@sayoga I lean towards building a brand first and foremost. Building a user base is a leaky bucket situation in the beginning. But brand is where the tipping point might reveal it self. When "they" start to believe ✨🧘✨

@sayoga The leaky bucket theorem is as follows: In the beginning users leak out like there is no tomorrow. Don't try to keep them in by getting more of them, instead try to plug the holes of the bucket to keep them in. So in the beginning marketing should just test how many and how big your holes are 😅 and measure if you have enough resources to manage the leaky bucket. Keep in mind, the world also change around you so what seems like a hole might be some external force making the hole bigger 😅😅

I agree with you! If you do not have many followers and a whole lot of things then X is a waste of time. Linkedin is much better as it let's you reach out to the audience

Tough one, twitter is pretty easy to make content but you'll most likely find quality leads/customers on LinkedIN especially for B2B companies

I prefer Twitter as I think people are more active on it than LinkedIn. I'm not sure if I'm right, but I feel most people often create a LinkedIn account only for the sake of their social presence completeness.

Andre, firstly - thanks for your hard work on gathering Linkedin doc tips 👍 I worked in big company where we had a lead gen specialists and I heard a lot about all that restrisctions, account blocks etc. Now I do it all myself and do everything manually as do not want to loose my profile. So all that tips really helpful! As for the platform, I'm not an expert in marketing and social media, so thats just my findings so far. I see that many people say that X is really great one for promotion, I restored my acc there and there are really many people talking about digital, tech, etc. But seems to start from 0 is really hard there. Linkedin is more clear for me and more engaging at the moment.

@oxana_ivanova Yup. X is so hard to get started, Only the top dogs gets any attention. I gave up. But I do think I'm going to give it another shot, once Im more top dog looking 😅

I think I would like to keep it simple: Twitter: 1. Quick engagement with a broad audience. 2. Easy sharing of content like blogs, articles, and visuals. 3. Effective for trending topics and hashtags. LinkedIn: 1. Professional networking and B2B connections. 2. Showcase expertise through long-form content and posts. 3. Targeted advertising options for specific industries or job titles.

Since I work in the B2B niche, my answer is clear - LinkedIn. There I can directly target decision-makers and professionals in specific industries. And it makes LinkedIn ideal for generating relevant leads and building professional relationships. Also I like the opportunity to experiment with various content formats that can showcase your expertise and services. Twitter can be great for brand awareness and quick updates, but LinkedIn's professional context aligns better with B2B lead acquisition and engagement. IMHO ☺️

@anastasiya_gurevska Seems like LinkedIn is easier to get traction with. And twitter is a bit tougher to crack. I wonder tho, maybe our strategy on twitter just have to be more clever?
you see, It all depends on the purpose of your app. for example us gobinx.com we want to revolutionalize shopping making it easy and conversational how it should be. Like going to your nearest multi-store mall and have a chitchat directly with an expert. you do that in a conversation right? so why not bringing the same thing inside the ecommerce landscape So to come back to your question, for us @gobinx is all the same because anyone does shopping but what we need to do is convert the right people to our social media page's and to do so you need to follow a precise scheme... like: 1)creating a video on IG where user just like to hang out and spend some time looking at reels or nice looking photo 2) explain the background of that video in LinkedIn, just some technical details. 3) on twitter explain the marketing strategy related to that video, video visuals, colours, and all that to catch the audience. in the end guys you can maybe have the same person following you around all the social media, but in the end they want to see different angles of your project as social media purpose require for

It depends. For a b2b, LinkedIn is definitely the way to do while b2c, it can vary but you might have better luck on Twitter

LinkedIn! In all honesty, it's really hard to get serious, value-added content to trend on Twitter/X because you're competing with memes, videos and billion other things. With LinkedIn, you know who you're creating for and the type of content that will speak to them.

It totally depends on where your users are hanging out, if you approach with the right framework both platforms are easy to grab people's attention towards your launch.

It depends, where is your ICP? Are you guerilla marketing or doing paid ads? For my business Meta ads works pretty well.

It really depends; if you have a large or medium-sized following on Twitter, it's great; however, most people don't, so LinkedIn is definitely better and easier to get a post to become more viral. with that being said, direct marketing on LinkedIn, such as email, is not working on Twitter, but it works less on LinkedIn because most people have a large following on LinkedIn (since it is easier to get that on LinkedIn in), so they're already bombarded by cold reachouts.

We are a B2B SaaS company and LinkedIn works best in our case.
