What do you enjoy about being an entrepreneur?
10
Sometimes I wonder what really drives us to choose this path. E.g. Freedom to work from anywhere → but I often end up working more hours than in a regular job. Being my own boss → yet constantly answering to clients and market demands. Setting my own schedule → while actually being available 24/7. 😅 Chasing bigger income → but dealing with unstable months and reinvesting most profits. Are you also experiencing this love-hate relationship with entrepreneurship? What keeps you going despite these challenges? For me, it's definitely the ability to create something from scratch and watch it grow. The excitement of seeing your ideas come to life, even if the journey isn't always as glamorous as it seems. What about you?

Freedom in time and also I can work from anywhere (commuting takes time and energy) :)

@busmark_w_nika Yes, freedom is the ultimate reason. When Bansko is on the list? Or Sofia in terms of working from anywhere ? xD

Love how you framed this. It’s such a constant trade-off. Freedom vs. responsibility. Control vs. unpredictability. Do you ever wonder if you'd actually be happier in a regular job, or is that no longer an option mentally?

The sense of fulfillment from working for yourself and the satisfaction of being recognized.

@zhiqi_shi yep it's totally different from being an employee you make the difference

The day to day challenges and the puzzle of solving them is what keeps me going.

Yes, I totally resonate with the love-hate relationship with entrepreneurship. It’s that pull to create and impact lives that keeps me from feeling truly content in a regular job when I had it. There's something about create your own inspirations, building from scratch, and seeing how your work can make a real difference. The journey is definitely tough—long hours, constant demands, quite lonely, and the unpredictability—but the thrill of bringing ideas to life, meeting interesting people, and learning along the way makes it worthwhile. Location and time flexibility is also a great advantage, even though in my case I am not getting the most of it, not yet ;)
