For someone with no background in marketing, how would you recommend I spread the word about a product that I'm working on. Of course, Product Hunt is a great platform for launching the MVP, but I'm looking for 101 tips about how to market my product pre-launch.

Obviously a huge topic and it's difficult to go into specifics but the absolute best way is to do whatever you have to do in order to build an audience for yourself.

Some ways to spread the word: 1) Create social media accounts and post regularly about your product, 2) Find online communities related to your product niche and engage there, 3) Do some guest posting on relevant blogs to get backlinks and exposure, 4) Run ads on platforms your target audience uses, 5) Build an email list and send updates about your product, 6) Attend events/conferences in your industry and network

You can try promoting on relevant social media channels where your target audience hangs out. Speaking at conferences or hosting webinars related to your product's niche can also help get the word out. And don't forget about good old word-of-mouth - incentivize your current customers to refer friends!

Creating SNS accounts, or promoting in communities that would be interested in your product might help.
