Weekend in a startup. Working or resting?

I have often heard that startups have no weekends, but my experience shows that without a good rest, it is difficult to achieve a good result.
What do you think?

Rest is required to gain a fresher perspective on problems and come back stronger. Athletes, and other professionals on top of their game, rest in order to perform at their best during game time.
Startups are a marathon, not a sprint, but some weeks you have to sprint, with little rest. When this happens remember to get some rest afterwards, because it's very hard to be sprinting all the time.
Hope this helps.

Sure everyone needs a rest. But before the launch, it's just a dream.

That's a Great discussion! Most of my weekends are actually filled with work. But every couple of months, when I start feeling a bit fried, I take some time off to recharge.

Having a chronic health condition has taught me the importance of rest. So even if I want to, I know I can't do the whole 7-days-a-week-none-stop-founder thing. But one of the blessings of doing my own thing is the flexibility to handle my health as my body needs me to. I used to take every Saturday off, but I've since found that the best way is to take a day off when my body or mind needs it and not on a regular schedule. Every morning, I do a check-on and assess my needs. Since I switched to that model, I've actually found my productivity increasing tremendously, which was such a surprise. Respecting my own needs more has made me able to work with more focused energy and that makes me faster in the long run.
@maria_hagsten You are super right! Many people forget about their health, and this leads to tragic results.
I hear you. I've also heard that startups have no weekends, but I agree with you that without a good rest, it's difficult to achieve a good result.
As a SaaS Product Demo animation explainer video expert, I know that it's important to find a balance between work and rest. It's okay to work on the weekends sometimes, but it's also important to take some time off to recharge and come back refreshed.
@tanjirrahman You are right!
Resting of course.
Totally agree!!
Unfortunately,I have a lot work to do as a startup founder right now to bring it to reality
But Iām trying to work as less as possible on the weekends
@polina_volkova Good luck! Rest should not be forgotten :)
