Recently, I started reading more about digital culture and its impact on society. Just finished Kevin Kelly's seminal essay, 1000 True Fans. In short, Kevin says that to be a successful creator you donโ€™t need millions. You donโ€™t need millions of dollars or millions of customers, millions of clients or millions of fans. To make a living as a craftsperson, photographer, musician, designer, author, animator, app maker, entrepreneur, or inventor you need only thousands of true fans. All thanks to the INTERNET ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ“ถ I welcome your suggestions for my next reading session :)

Maybe it's a little basic but I remember vividly the first time I read Paul Ford's "What is Code" (https://www.bloomberg.com/graphi...). It really drove me to be more interested in how the "start-ups" I had been working at, actually worked? It also just has some solid product-minded fundamentals throughout that I go back to a lot.

@stuartwinchester this was the best reading experience... the story telling, the interactive web-page, and more than anything - going to the fundamentals ๐Ÿ˜ Loved it! I feel this should be a part of the curriculum. Thanks for the recommendation, Stuart :)

I'd recommend "They Ask, You Answer", it contains some valuable guidelines about creating "hit-the-target" content and earning customer's trust

@deniz_fox Any book by Harari is a delight. Sapiens was indeed an insightful read, especially his predictions for the future. Thanks for the recommendation!

Iโ€™d suggest Bobiverse. The book follows the exploits of Bob, a founder turned Von Neumann probe, and his preparation of worlds for human colonization.๐Ÿš€ It explores morals, โ€œhumannessโ€, and tech in an easy to read, humorous way!

@ezzat Ohh yes! That sounds like a great weekend reading. The world he paints is truly fascinating, and full of humour as well :) I'm 5 mins in and the audiobook seems even more fun ๐Ÿ˜ https://soundcloud.com/audible/w...? Thank you for the recommendation, Ezzat :)
