Newbie question: What are the Ks badges on PH? How to get them as well as other badges like Veteran?

Hello, I have been for just a couple of days on Product Hunt and absolutely love the platform and the activeness of the community. So could maybe someone give a reference to what the badges next to the user names and in the profiles mean? What's the benefit of those? And how they can be received? Thank you :)

Hello! After you get 100 points (upvotes), you unlock the first badge. (like mine!) From what I know, it just shows how many upvotes you got within the platform. That can be interpreted as a sign of being known or active within the community, either by posting or commenting on other's people posts. I don't know if there is any other type of benefit from those badges. Cheers!

@jack95 Sounds like a nice track of achievement inside the platform. Thank you for the information! I also thought maybe there are some other features or perks getting unlocked with more badges etc. How was your journey towards the first 100 upvotes? :)

I got my first and only badge by just being active for 1 week straight. I just keep checking PH here and then, and I hope to get more badges - and for hunting my first product, too - I think they gives badges for that as well :)

@dan_yes interesting! Looks like they do not open up much on how to receive the recognition badges, thus, people keep exploring and enjoying the process. Gamification at its best :)
