  • My father in law made me rethink everything.

I've been working on my SaaS for a few months now - proudly showing it off to my Father in law he just didn't get it - it totally failed to communicate what it was about. One of the things that struck me was how all the bells and whistles were worth nothing if you couldn't show your user value quickly. Instead of MVP I started thinking about my MPV - my Minimal Path to Value. What could I rip out of the customer flow? What assumptions could I make, what steps could I skip? So now my homepage directly shows the value: homepage widget And although it's not as powerful as using the whole tool, it's hopefully enough to get them in the door and playing with the tool. I can't believe it took me this many years to learn that lesson! I think the product is now ready to launch - but I'd love it if you could try it out and let me know if anything is broken for you! Please check it out at https://wxtxt.co And tell me, what realisation did you come to late in the process?
