  • How to validate over engineered products?

I am currently working on an HR Tech product for early-stage start-ups. I feel like we fell into the trap of over-engineering the product. Now I am in this dilemma regarding how to validate the product and the core value proposition of the product. Our MVP is almost done. However, we are yet to start building a community for the product and neither the makers have a strong presence on the target market community or problem space audience. My personal point of action to move forward from the position is. 1. Create a Strong Personal Presence on Linked in where the person will talk about the problem space to reach a relevant audience. 2. Look for companies to conduct UAT for the product and start the product discovery journey. (I am thinking about cold calling potential target customers to onboard as UAT testers) 3. Build a strong presence on the product hunt as a maker and validate the product hypothesis through a Pilot lunch. This is what I have come up with so far. I am new to the community. Any ideas/further guidance will be highly appreciated.

    1. Track & Analyze user behavior and make it simpler 2. Ask feedback to your users 3. Make the UI simpler based on the feedback & analyze, if not just hide the less-use features and make an advanced toggle to show all

@distartin Thank you for your reply! I am yet to launch the product. And finding it difficult to strategize how to onboard users for the community(free) version of the product. I am thanking of doing cold calls on LinkedIn.
