how to gain initial users for a small shopify app

so I have created a small shopify app it is free for now and does very basic stuff. i am looking for ways to get my first few users. I have finished the app and looking to launch it on product hunt. i have tried posting on subreddits, facebook groups but they are too restrictive and almost always block the post. any ideas how I can reach out to shopify merchants and since its a free app I dont want to run paid ads. link for the app: https://apps.shopify.com/plainch...

There are ways to get Shopify specific user emails and reach out for specific leads or marketing.

You could try making a list of your favorite brands/stores that use Shopify, research the owners, and reach out directly! Probably 99/100 will turn you down, but it's totally possible to reach out to 100 (or 1000) shop owners. If you land a recognizable brand, it would definitely help get the next few, and then you can take it from there.

Hey, getting those first users is like trying to find the Holy Grail, right? Why not leverage Shopify forums or directly reach out to merchants via LinkedIn? It’s a free app, so who can resist? And hey, if they need help with dating profiles too, "Her Ideal Match" is coming soon to save the day.
