  • How not to do: some worst UX examples?

Could you share some popular websites with very poor UX? I'd start with eBay. I'm often lost in their navigation, and the product pages are too complex. Maybe it's because the design dates from 2010s. Any other anti-examples to share?

Hah, I think our MVP on production has the worst UX. But still, hundreds of thousands of users use it: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/bu...

@mark_prutskiy it's more difficult to ensure good UX for a complex matching app like yours than for a typical website

@daniel_engels 100% agree with you but trust me it's bad now :)

in my opinion, some of the bad but popular ones are: WhatsApp’s delete message feature, (the way it repeatedly shows "you deleted a message", number of times) Netflix hover auto-play. I don't know about you but it annoys me every single time :D. Having to charge the apple mouse upside down, Those Super long dropdowns, sneaking in ads or using click-baits are also mentionable. User experience standards will evolve as we build better experiences. what we feel working very well in terms of UX today could feel like bad UX few years from now. https://goodui.org/ is a good resource to start

@dennis_isaac1 I agree WhatsApp made an obvious mistake with this "you deleted a message" thing. As for Netflix, the hover auto-play was implemented on purpose; I think it brings some dynamics.
