š¹ I once aspired to create a GitHub for the field of mechanical engineering. Although I secured some funding, the project didnāt take off.
šØāš»ā Now, I have developed a file history management tool called EverCraft(https://en.evercraft.co). Itās not as powerful as Git, but itās simpler and more suitable for those who still manage their files using names like āVersion 1ā, āVersion 2ā, and āFinal Versionā.
Because a product can only launch once every six months on PH, I really value this opportunity. Some say PH is great for finding the earliest users during the launch stage, while others suggest waiting until you have a certain user base. EverCraft currently has 0 users. Should I wait a bit longer?

I would say launch now if EverCreaft is ready. PH is great for early feedback and those initial users can help shape your product. It's better to get real world insights sooner rather than later.

Launching soon!
Hey Walt! Launching your EverCraft tool on Product Hunt could be like launching a rocket - timing is key! Maybe let it orbit a bit longer to gather some early adopters before the grand liftoff? šš
@thestarkster Thank you for the feedback. The main reason is that I donāt have any users yet, and the lack of positive feedback is really frustrating. On one hand, Iām worried that launching on PH wonāt bring any users, but on the other hand, Iām hoping that launching on PH will bring some positive feedback to boost my morale.
Iāve decided to go ahead and prepare for launching on PH, without worrying too much. Positive feedback is more important.
Hey Walt. Great question, my friend. I'm in the same boat as you and decided to just go for it. I don't think there's a right or wrong answer, but if you lack a community of users IRL, then PH may be a great way to get things going. Good luck on EverCraft. I'll be following along.
@bill_harris Thank you for your encouragement. Iām getting ready~. Looking forward to the launch of your product as well.
